Our Story

In 2015, Ramiro Perez retired after over 35 years working worldwide in the oilfield industry and the United States Army. An idea evolved to return to his passion for music and live events, something he developed in his early years as a musician and concert goer in the central California music scene of the 60s. Fortunately for Ramiro, his son Robert (a musician and music lover himself and also an Air Force veteran),  also shared his vision, and in 2017 the father-son duo teamed up to make their vision a reality. Along the way, they brought in construction manager, Navy vet, drummer, and friend Chris Garcia, and together the three of them took what was a giant metal structure and constructed with their own hands and lifetime knowledge of construction, Prima Vista Event Center. As the idea became reality, other family members joined the team such as Ramiro’s granddaughter (Robert’s daughter), Ashli Perez who manages the full bar.

Prima Vista includes a small 400 sq. ft. studio with another larger multi-room 650 sq. ft. studio due to be finished construction by the end of 2023. Additionally, in 2022 Perezcope Music Publishing (BMI/ASCAP affiliated) and Prima Vista Records was formed and promises to be a voice for West Texas artists of all genres on both a local and worldwide scale. 

 

The mission of Prima Vista, in all of its facets, is to provide the best quality experience for everyone that comes through our door with a positive, caring atmosphere where everyone wins.

THE BUILDING

Prima Vista Event Center is a 22,000 sq. feet building, with 14,200 sq. feet of open space able to accomodate 1500 guests in a concert setting or 1000 guests banquet style. There are two large balconies overlooking the 50’ x 30’ raised stage.  An additional 3,600 sq. ft. mezzanine is to be operational in 2023 including additional seating, bathrooms, and a 200 person capacity. The venue houses multiple large restrooms, with private bathrooms in both its balcony greenroom suites. Prima Vista has a 64-channel input capacity X-32 multi-board setup, with 8 individual monitor mixes and monitors, stands, micing, cables, DIs and enough in house audio support to cover even the largest events. Party, stage, and special effect lighting is also throughout the venue, with the ability to accommodate additional lighting, video screens, or any power needs required for concerts, private events, and conferences. The large bar is full service and offers liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic, and mixed drink services as well as concessions. Parking is available for 300+ vehicles, and the new HVAC system is sure to keep the climate appropriate for all seasons.
